Dear friend -

Thank you for visiting Green Bag Photography and exploring this passion project of mine.

Please enjoy this index of my work in photojournalism over the past twenty-five years. I started my career as a full-time print photojournalist in 1995 and continued until 2003. Since that time, I've continued on a freelance basis on a variety of photography and photojournalism projects which include travel photography, landscape photography, live event coverage and special projects. My work has appeared in a variety of newspapers, magazines and online publications.

I have a particular attraction to forgotten places and abandoned buildings.

I am also proud of my work with New York City's burlesque community. Green Bag Photography has been the named official photographer of the 2017 and 2018 New York Burlesque Festivals and 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Asian Burlesque Festivals.

I volunteer my spare time to KittyKind, a NYC-based no kill animal shelter where I make my talents available so that rescue cats can find a home. My work is a small part of the One Picture Saves a Life campaign.

Body positivism and realism are core philosophies guiding my work. I do not believe in altering the human form, or adding objects to scenery. Everything you see here is the way nature intended it to be - in all of its beauty.

I am always open to new projects and new ideas. If you have a special project that you are interested in pursuing, head over to the contact page and send me a note.

Sincerely,

Eric D.
